Theda Belle (Deihl) Hartman, 82, of Smithsburg MD, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

Born Friday, October 14, 1927, in Ringgold, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ray Delbert Deihl and the late Rhoda Gayle Hess Deihl.

She was formerly employed at Newberry's in Waynesboro, PA, Rineharts Orchards and also as a dairy farm manager/owner. She was a former member of the Wayside Baptist Church in Leitersburg, MD and currently a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church in Martinsburg, WV.

She is survived by six daughters, Carolyn J. Wolfe & husband James of Mercersburg, PA, devoted caregiving daughters for the past two years, Virginia B."Ginny" Hartman of Falling Waters, WV and Judith A. "Judy" Hahn & husband Michael of Smithsburg, MD. Ruth E. Stewart of Powhatan, VA, Lucille E. Collier of N. Lewisburg, Ohio, and Sandra J. "Sandy" Lestina & husband Michael of Mercerville, NJ; six sons, James R. "Jim" Hartman & wife Carol of Smithsburg, MD, Kenneth E. "Ken" Hartman & wife Kimberly of Smithsburg, MD, William P "Bill". Hartman & wife Renee' of Smithsburg, MD, John R. "Rusty" Hartman of Smithsburg, MD, Dwight J. Hartman of Smithsburg, MD, and Paul M. Hartman of Powhatan, VA; one brother, Robert I. Deihl of Hagerstown, MD; 26 Grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Deihl, Jr., and sisters Rhoda A. "Ted" Poe, Frances Williams and Dottie J. Wenger.

Services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010, at 3:00 PM, at the Wayside Baptist Church, 21303 Leiter Street, Leitersburg, Maryland with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Owens officiating.

Family will receive friends at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, March 5.

Interment will be in the Harbaugh's Cemetery, Rouzerville, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Wayside Baptist Church 21303 Leiter Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21742 or Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church 2251 Williamsport Pike, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
