Vivian Jacob Pierce, 82, of 13434 Keener Road, Hagerstown MD, and formerly a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE, passed away, Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at the Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.

Born Friday, September 16, 1927, in Salem, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. Jacobs and the late Bertha J. Taylor Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garlon V. Pierce in 2000.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah A. Turney of Hagerstown, MD; one step son, Garlon V. Pierce, Jr. of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Joshua Turney of York, PA, and Nicholas Turney of Hagerstown, MD.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Neely and a brother, Harry L.T. Jacobs.

Private services will be held at the families convenience.

Interment will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
