Charles Layfette Babington, Sr., 77, of Hagerstown MD, passed away, Saturday, February 6, 2010, at his home.

Born Monday, April 18, 1932, in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Roy Babington and the late Ruby Main Babington.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Hazel May Babington, two daughters, Robin Lyn Brunner of Hagerstown, MD, and Hazel May Myers of Boonsboro, MD; one son, Charles L. Babington, Jr. of Hagerstown, MD; step daughter, Barbara Britton of Hagerstown, MD; step son, Doug Forrest of Hagerstown, MD; four sisters and one brother, and fourteen grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2010, at 2:00 PM, at the home of his daughter Hazel M. Myers 6227 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD.
