"Billie Jean I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Ms Jeanie. You know and I know that she is in better hands now and she surely will be missed. Ms. Jeanie was a very sweet and kind person and I will never forget her sweet smile and her hearty laugh. She was such a strong black woman who went through alot through her years. I never forget when her and Margaret were teaching Nana how to drive, boy was that a trip, LOL. But you hang in there Billie because you stuck by your mother no matter what and I know you will miss her but God has taken her now to be with him. I am praying for you and the rest of your family, your sons and if there is anything that I can do just give me a call. I love you Billie and always have for a very long time and I loved Ms Jeanie too, we all go way back, from Hagerstown to Detroit. May God bless you."
- Debra (Tootie) Broadus Hagerstown, Maryland
"I was honored to know Ms. Roberta for many many years. She will be truly missed!! She fought a good fight and kept the faith. And no one will EVER call my name like she did!! I was honored to know her. I know I called you two Pete & RePete, because I rarely saw one of you without the other. You two really held each other up through the good times and the bad. And as we spoke on Friday, God knew best: she smiled up at Him, and He smiled down upon her, and said "Come Home, Daughter." BJ, you know I'm always here for you and my guys and Paul. God Bless and keep you all in His Care.
I Love you all Always, Mikki & Family"

"Sis. Billie and sons:
You are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Your Mother and Grandmother will be missed from the Mt. Zion Church family and NC Triangle community. Deacon Falana fondly recalls her smile during home visits for communion and how she was always the same. We love you and pray sweet memories will keep your hearts joyful when you are missing her. May God continue to bless and keep you in his care."
- Rev. Barbara & Deacon Roland Falana Wake Forest, NC
