"I got to know Tom thru my Father-In-Law, Retired Chief John Hall. Tom was a guest in our home on several occasions once my parents-in-law moved in with us. He always had an amusing anecdote or an insightful story when John needed one in his final days. I could tell by simply looking at them that they had a deep friendship and regarded each other highly. Although my father-in-law never let Tom knew his stories brought him amusement, he always retold them and would laugh. Tom's family, the community and the Fire Department has lost a not only a valuable asset, but I loving, caring family member as well. Rest in peace Tom, and may you now be able to deliver a bit of your own torment to John."
