"I will always remember my Uncle Johnny for his kindness, his gentle soul, and the twinkle in his eye. As my Godfather and my mother's older brother, he always made me feel special whenever I visited him, Auntie Jo, Jonathan, and Gia in Hagerstown. In my heart I feel his loss, but am comforted knowing that his struggles have now ended and that he is at peace. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
With love and sympathy,
Sue Francis McCarthy and family"

"
To Joanna and family I extend my deepest sympathy at this most difficult time. Now more than ever is the time to reflect on the wonderful happenings of the past.
Johnny and I were dorm room mates at the University of Maryland. The room was for two persons but with the shortage of space four students were assigned to a room. I recall our experiences in hitch hiking from Hagerstown to College Park.
We both rushed for fraternity membership and Johnny was selected as an ATO member and I settled for Delta Sig.I also recall the time we hitched a ride to Baltimore and the driver spun off the road in his new car. We made certain everything was okay and then we took off seeking another ride.
My prayers are with you,
Sincerely,
George"

I'm so very sorry for his passing and please know my thoughts and prayers are with you."

"To Joanne and Johnathan, I was honored to count Johnny as my friend. On behalf of my family, I can say without a doubt, he will be sadly missed. I always enjoyed our talks out in the yard as we worked together trimming the bushes and doing gardening chores. He made me look forward to going out in the yard to work, as I knew he would come over to see me. Please know I think of him often, and know I will keep him in my heart always. Todd Cochrane"
